Programs For International Students

Incoming Exchange Students

Toyo Eiwa University also welcomes exchange students from universities all over the world with which student exchange agreements have been concluded. The length of study is for one or two semesters, starting either in April or in September. Tuition for exchange students at Toyo Eiwa is waived.
Exchange Student Application Materials

Choice of Classes and Subjects

In addition to Japanese language classes, exchange students are able to take almost any subject offered at Toyo Eiwa University, including small group seminars and classes taught in English.

Housing

The Center for International Programs provides assistance in finding accommodation at student dormitories.

Toyo Eiwa University Scholarship for Exchange Students

The University offers a scholarship program for accepted exchange students. Scholarship recipients receive 50,000 yen monthly. Exchange students are screened for scholarship eligibility after their enrollment has been approved.

International Students(privately funded / non-exchange)

Toyo Eiwa University welcomes international students, who seek to earn a degree at Toyo Eiwa. Enrollment takes place in April each year. Financial support is available in order to help those students enjoy successful academic experiences.

Tuition Reduction System

International students who hold a "Student" visa are eligible to apply for a tuition reduction. Applicants will undergo a screening process and may be awarded a 30% - 50% reduction in

Toyo Eiwa University Scholarship for International Students

This scholarship is designated for international students with distinguished academic records who need financial help. Eligibility is limited to privately funded (non-exchange) students, who have finished at least one year of their study at Toyo Eiwa. Applicants will undergo a screening process. Scholarship recipients receive 47,000 yen monthly (as of 2021).

Entrance Examination

Cultural Activities and Social Events

The Center for International Programs organizes various cultural activities and social events. We aim to provide international students with the opportunities to experience traditional Japanese culture and to socialize with Japanese students.

Student Support System

All international students will have an academic advisor with whom they can consult. They also have a student "buddy" who helps them with life in Japan and on campus. In addition, the staff at the Center for International Programs will help them with various University procedures and any other issues.

International Programs for Toyo Eiwa Students

Toyo Eiwa University has established various overseas study programs with the objectives of nurturing women who can actively contribute to the international community.
In order to encourage students to participate in overseas study, the "Toyo Eiwa University Scholarship for Studying Abroad" is available for students who join designated programs. Applicants will undergo a screening process and may receive 200,000 to 900,000 yen as a lump sum.
