On May 16th, first-year senior high school students went on a field trip to Kamakura!
Kamakura is known not only as a historical and cultural hub with many significant temples and shrines, but also as a place that is rich in nature with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains.

After meeting up at Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine, the students took off in groups; they planned their whole day ahead on their own!

Some of the popular places chosen by the students to visit were Zeniarai Benzaiten Shrine, Enoshima Shrine, Hase-dera Temple, and Gokuraku-ji Temple.

They also had the choice to eat wherever, whenever!
Some groups enjoyed eating the fresh fish that is unique to the area, while others enjoyed their time at trendy cafes.

Although it was raining in the morning, the sun gradually started to show itself in the afternoon!
The combination of blue sky and the sound of waves was perfect.

Komachi street was crowded the whole time with tourists… and Eiwa students!
There were lots of delicious “kawaii” sweets that students enjoyed for snack time.

It seemed the students were able to have a relaxing, refreshing time away from their studies and busy lives for a day. Having fun with friends and being surrounded by nature was a much-needed respite before getting back to their busy schedules in the city!
