語学研修２週目の生活

On the 2nd Friday our classes were 10 minutes shorter because we had Good Friday Chapel. All students attended it in Shattuck's chapel. The service was so different from Toyo Eiwa's, so we were excited to be a part of that.
On the weekend some of us had dinner at one of the teacher's houses which is near the junior high school. Most Shattuck teachers live near the school like her. She made a delicious lasagna dinner for us and we all ate a lot.
On the last day of classes, we gave a presentation about the many differences between Shattuck and Toyo Eiwa by using a program called "Prezi" for Mrs. Garlinski, who was our tutor while we were there. "Prezi" is a kind of presentation software like Microsoft Power Point, and Shattuck students usually use that. We used about the last 4 study halls to prepare for that presentation.

2週目の金曜日は10分短縮で、受苦日礼拝がありました。生徒全員がチャペルに集まり、英和とは少し違った礼拝に参加しワクワクしました。
週末にはイースター・ディナーがあり、中学部のそばにお住いの先生のお宅にお邪魔しました。シャタックの先生方はほとんど学校のそばに住んでいます。先生はとてもおいしいラザニアをつくってくださいました。
最終授業の日に、私たちは「プレジー」というソフトを使って、自習監督のガリンスキー先生指導のもと「シャタックと東洋英和の違い」についてプレゼンをしました。プレジーはシャタック生がよく使うパワーポイントのようなソフトです。このプレゼンの準備のために、４回の自習時間を使いました。
