シャタックの学校生活について

From March 20th to April 2nd we went on an English study program in Minnesota in the United States. Most of our time there we went to regular high school classes and learned English at Shattuck-St. Mary's School.
The school was founded in 1858 so they have a long history like Toyo Eiwa. Their main building is like Hogwarts from the Harry Potter movies and inside is very gorgeous. When we entered for the first time everyone was making so much noise because it was so gorgeous.
From the second day our classes started. There were different subjects from Toyo Eiwa, like engineering, world religions and history. Because of that I really became interested in history. In our history class we only learned about American history and during our time I learned about the U.S. Civil War by watching a video.
This was the dorm where we stayed. Each room was cute and big enough for two students. The dorm parent was great at taking care of us; like waking us up, making cookies for snacks, washing our clothes and more. We owe her a lot of thanks.

3月20日から4月2日まで私たちはアメリカ・ミネソタ州へ語学研修に行ってきました。ミネソタではシャタック・セントメアリーズ・スクールという高校の授業に参加し、英語を学びました。
シャタックは1858年創立で東洋英和と同じく長い歴史をもった学校です。校舎はハリーポッターの映画に出てくるホグワーツのようで、中もとてもゴージャスです。はじめて建物の中に入った時にはあまりの豪華さにみんな声をあげていました。
到着した翌日から授業に出席しました。「エンジニアリング」や「世界の宗教」「アメリカ史」といった英和にはない科目もあります。この授業をとって、歴史に興味を持つようになりました。歴史の授業では、アメリカの南北戦争についてのビデオをみました。
これは私たちが滞在した寮の写真です。どの部屋もかわいらしくて、2人には十分な広さがありました。寮には素晴らしい寮母さんがいて、朝起こしてくれたり、クッキーを焼いてくれたり、洗濯をしてくれたりと、私たちの面倒を見てくれました。彼女には大変感謝しています。
